Responsible Play
Responsible play describes practices intended to keep money-based gaming within adult entertainment limits. It does not eliminate the possibility of loss or make a game a source of income.
Core principles
- Confirm adult age and local eligibility before participating.
- Set fixed time and discretionary spending limits in advance.
- Do not chase losses or rely on claims of fixed or guaranteed outcomes.
- Keep passwords, OTP codes and JazzCash or Easypaisa credentials private.
- Use time-outs, limits, self-exclusion or closure tools when control becomes difficult.
Key terms
| Discretionary funds | Money remaining after essential expenses and obligations; not borrowed money or household funds. |
|---|---|
| Loss chasing | Continuing or increasing spending in an attempt to recover earlier losses. |
| Time-out | A temporary account break intended to interrupt play and reduce impulsive decisions. |
| Self-exclusion | A longer restriction requested by the player, subject to the controls offered by the platform. |
| Warning sign | A change such as secrecy, debt, distress, missed responsibilities or repeated broken limits. |
Escalation
A person should seek qualified local support when play contributes to debt, distress, conflict, secrecy or an inability to stop. If there is an immediate risk of harm, urgent assistance appropriate to the person’s location is required.
